[Tip] How to edit webdav templates

Today I got a bit annoyed having to open Dreamweaver to edit Servoy templates and thought of easier ways to get to connect to Servoy's webdav to edit web client templates. Turns out this is native on a Mac. In finder press command-K then enter the web-dav base URL:

http://localhost:8080/servoy-webclient/templates

...and done. Perhaps something similar can be done on Windows too.

Under Windows it is also fairly easy to access Servoy's WebDAV folders. One possible way to do this (under WinXP) is to open up 'My Network Places.' On a base install of WinXP, this can be found directly on your Start menu. Once in 'My Network Places,' click on 'Add a network place' from the 'Network Tasks' sidebar (if you have the sidebar turned off, click on 'Add Network Place' under the heading 'Unspecified' at the bottom of the window). Follow the wizard, selecting 'Choose another network location' when given the option. The URL is just as Jan wrote in the main hint - http://localhost:8080/servoy-webclient/templates. You will be prompted to enter a name for the network place you just created. Until you delete it, access to your Servoy WebDAV folder will live in your 'My Network Places.' For easier access, you may create a shortcut from 'My Network Places' to your Desktop, or any other place.
